Dr. De Blasi witnesses the signs of the Passion that Debora accepts and offers as an act of reparation. He testifies how everything often begins with the crowning with thorns:

“…When I arrived, I saw Debora in the act of suffering the Passion of Christ, I took up everything, even the scourging during which the scourges could clearly be heard cutting through the air and crashing into the girl’s body, leaving smears on her back with blood spurting out.

I also witnessed the crowning with thorns, and around half past two, the oozing of blood also began right in the centre of the palms of her hands. She was in pain and moaning, alternating between regaining consciousness to ecstasy. Then looking at a specific spot she said, ‘look there is Jesus sitting on the bed’. We saw and believed because it was impossible not to believe enveloped as we were by an intense and very special perfume. Then, at around ten past fifteen, the suffering ended…”
